Thanksgiving is right around the corner. One of my favorite times of the year!
For many years, my children and I enjoyed Thanksgiving school in the days leading up to this special American holiday. Since my four oldest children are stair steps (they’re mostly 2 years apart), we could take a pause from our “regular” school and have what I called Thanksgiving School.
We got out all of our Thanksgiving books , I chose new Thanksgiving crafts to work on each year, and I tried to incorporate as much writing as I could into our activities.
Those years hold very fond memories for me!
This year, my youngest son, my 7th grader girl, and I are going to do a different version of Thanksgiving school. My son is going to work through many of the worksheets in this Thanksgiving Worksheet packet since he is just the perfect age and stage for it. My 7th grader will join us for reading Thanksgiving books and I’ll incorporate her writing into the books we read together.
